Full Description:

The name of the village comes from the fact that” in the morning the sun rays light up the front part of the mountain/ its forehead/. The territory of the village is  210765 decares and it is bordered on the east by Lyuti Brod , on the west by Pavolche and depopulated in 18th century village Krushovitza, on the south by Zverino and on the north by Moravitza. It is written with name in an Ottoman document  of 15th century with 33 families. The region is full of natural places of interest and a heroic history. On its stony hills and walked Botev and his rebels. On its hugs stays forever the great and fearless poet Hristo Botev. Nowadays there are 560 habitants in this village. The main  means of living here is the stock-breeding . In Chelopek are the  house-museum “ Grandmom Ilica”, the monument  of people who lost their lives in the Patriotic war, the temple “ St. Dimitar”. The village is a starting point  to peak Okolchica. There are tourists’ paths, which connected the house – museum “ Grandmom Iliica” with Pogledec and Rashov coomb
